Is Abortion Worth It?

Worldwide about 42 million women have an abortion every year. 93% of all abortions occur for social reasons like the child is unwanted or inconvenient. 6% of abortions occur because of potential problems regarding either the mother or child. 1% of all abortions occur because of rape or incest. There are many effects that occur after having an abortion. Here are some just to name a few. Some may not have a child at all after having a child. Women have a greater risk of developing breast cancer. The women who have an abortion are 5 times more likely to have problems with drug and alcohol abuse. These statistics are overwhelming. After seeing all of the reasons and complications with abortions, do you think that it's worth it to have unprotected sex if you don't want a child?

You have several choices when it comes to abortion. You can choose to be pro-life which is where you totally disagree with abortion. Another choice would be pro-choice, which is when you believe that individuals have unlimited autonomy with respect to their own reproductive systems as long as they do not breach the autonomy of others. People can also choose to have the baby but they can't take care of them. This option often ends up with the child being hurt or at worst death.
